Vladimir Torres Trio - Brujos
“Brujos” is a love letter to travel in all its forms, from journeys of self-discovery to the realities of an expedition, with the empathetic encounter of new worlds and diverse cultures.
The title of the album means “sorcerers” in Spanish. The trio’s strongly inspired interpretation of Vladimir Torres’s compositions turns them into sorcerers, practising musical magic to evoke a certain idea of trance and spiritual communion.
Their works on this album always illustrate an idea, a feeling or an experience, and are full of powerful sensations, with the double bass playing an organic role, like a bodily extension of Vladimir Torres.
“Brujos’ is a singular jazz album that, through its original compositions and spirited collective playing, takes the audience on a journey through different worlds, a kaleidoscope of colours and contrasts that exalts our emotions.
