Our values

REPRESENTATION OF SOCIETY

Gender parity in the arts

The challenge of parity remains a major one, especially in certain fields with an over-representation of men, such as jazz, but this constant and conscious effort commits neimënster to the path of a more egalitarian society, committed to promoting an ever more inclusive culture. Parity, for example, is one of the leitmotifs in the choice of artists for the RESET jazz residency: 4 women and 4 men, 8 instruments and 8 different countries.

MEDIATION

Transmitting values

Transmitting to the widest possible audience a wide range of artistic proposals, questioning society and the stakes involved in civic and humanist action and in building an inclusive society, is a challenge that neimënster strives to meet every day by offering programming that is mindful of these values and capable of reaching all its potential audiences. Our work with social and educational partners also enables us to reach out to remote audiences. The latter are sometimes the focus of specific projects within the framework of artist residencies (children from shelters, DPI, BPI...).

DEMOCRATIZING CULTURE

Social & intercultural dialogue

One of the ways we're doing this is by promoting the Kulturpass. Valid for two years, this individual, nominative card entitles the holder to purchase an admission ticket for a show at a price of €1.50. All ticketed events at neimënster, regardless of who organizes them, have a quota of tickets available for Kulturpass holders. neimënster also remains one of the country's most popular institutions for free events, a major asset appreciated by the public (Pause, exhibitions, free lectures, etc., 7 days a week over a wide range of opening hours).

Our values

ACCESSIBLE TO ALL

People with reduced mobility

People with reduced mobility have access to the various meeting, performance and exhibition rooms throughout the site. Two parking spaces are also marked out and reserved next to the abbey. Indoor parking is available on request. The outside staircase in front of the Robert Krieps room is equipped with a lifting platform reserved for people with reduced mobility. It provides access to the building, the fortifications, the green spaces behind neimënster and the Clausen district.
