Probably Bautzen’s best-known “export hit”: Silbermond, consisting of Stefanie Kloß (vocals), brothers Johannes (bass) and Thomas Stolle (guitar, piano) and Andreas Nowak (drums). Silbermond’s big breakthrough came in 2004 – with the hit “Durch die Nacht”. The accompanying debut album “Verschwende deine Zeit” went double platinum, and the subsequent single “Symphonie” became a milestone in the German-language music scene … the rest is German pop history.
