Dan Tanson & John Wolter
John Wolter and Dan Tanson are continuing their residency with the creation of their first joint project for young audiences: Karlo Kipper! The musician and director will be working together to create this concert, which celebrates the ‘collectors of old clutter’.
With a groovy jazz-soul-funk musical aesthetic, spiced up with modern beats and bathed in a festive fusion of world music, contemporary pop-jazz and Latin/African percussion, the show will feature the adventures of colourful characters who create a better world through their unusual journeys among classical musical instruments, as well as those salvaged, transformed or invented from found objects.
John Wolter and Dan Tanson have set themselves the goal of highlighting a profession that is often invisible and under-appreciated, and taking a poetic look at these adventurers of the hygiene service, who, despite their hard work, never lose heart and good humour, in a creative residency that is also taking place in schools, with the support of the Sommer Foundation.
