Conference with Tom Van de Weghe in the framework of the World Press Photo Exhibition

EN: Tom Van de Weghe is an investigative journalist, foreign correspondent and award winning docu-mentary maker for Belgian national tv. He became renowned for his reports on the HIV crisis in theHenan region in China and the nuclear disaster of Fukushima, Japan. In recent years he worked with ateam of journalists and researchers at Stanford University on deep fakes and artificial intelligence andhow they both harm the media and can be used to support it. Van de Weghe will be talking about how AI, video forensics and questions on authentification impact today's news rooms.

Ines Kurschat, journalist and General secretary of the Luxembourish press council, will lead through the evening. The lecture will be held in English.
