In February 2022, the young drummer Mathieu Clement recorded his first album Coming Home, which was released in 2023 by Double Moon Records / Jazz Thing Next Generation. The music he writes is reminiscent of the compositions of Joe Henderson, Wayne Shorter or Thelonious Monk and falls into the category of straight ahead / modern jazz. The emphasis is on swing, as well as on interaction and spontaneous creation between the musicians.
