Zarina Khan, of Russian-Indo-Pakistani origin, born in the Russian colony of Tunis, is a citizen of the world. A philosopher, writer, actress, director and filmmaker, her work includes Ados Amor, a fiction film made with young people from the Seine saint Denis region of France. at Cannes and 14 international festivals, and the documentary Essabar ou L’abri de l’être, which won the UNESCO Art and Education Prize and the Golden Key at the Lorquin Mental Health Festival. She has written numerous plays, several books on Human and Children’s Rights (Nathan) and has just finished the trilogy of the true story of her life “La sagesse d’aimer, (prix Seligmann 2017contre le racisme), La forge solaire, L’Oeuvre à la joie” (Éditions Hozhoni). In 2005, she was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for her workshops in war-torn countries and conflict zones (Sarajevo, Beirut, Mali, etc.). She now lives in Mirabel, Ardèche, where she created the “Art’Kafé Cultural Center” and the “Itinérances théâtrales” which she writes and performs in natural settings, a theater based on the history of sites, the march of centuries and heritage. She is currently working on the Mirapolis project, sponsored by Edgar Morin, to create a third place, a participatory, cultural and solidarity-based habitat, and on the audiovisual adaptation of her trilogy. She is currently in residence at Neumünster Abbey, working on the musical theater project “L’enfant soldat né musique”.
