The exhibition Elles nous racontent marks the end of Faire société en BandeDessinée, a project started in 2022 which aimed to collect the words of a dozen migrant women. How to talk about all those who, born elsewhere, have one day left their native land for Luxembourg by choice, obligation, or to accompany a migrant spouse? How to tell the story of a new life in a new country, in another culture?

These women, who shared their experiences during workshops with the author and poet Vanessa Buffone, became the protagonists of a comic book conceived by scriptwriter Sol Cifuentes and cartoonist Angie Cornejo during a creative residency in neimënster in March and April 2022. This exhibition brings together drawings and unpublished plates that trace this creative process and pays tribute to the paths of these women, their aspirations, and their success in search of a new identity.
