EN: The story of a rural community living in the Polish countryside under German occupation. On a warm and sunny summer afternoon in 1943, a group of young folks goes to the forest to gather some brushwood where they find a wounded Jew, who is barely alive. A complex, very realistic and engaging portrait of a group of people forced to take a decision they would rather not take, this ascetic and clever film provides a basis for reflection and further discussion.

FR: L'histoire de villageois vivant dans la campagne polonaise sous l'occupation allemande. Un après-midi chaud et ensoleillé de l'été 1943, un groupe de jeunes va dans la forêt pour ramasser du bois et y trouve un Juif blessé, à peine vivant. Commence alors un long dilemme - obéir à sa conscience ou obéir à ses intérêts et son instinct de survie. Un portrait complexe, très réaliste et engageant de personnes confrontées à des choix qui les depassent, ce film intelligent et émouvant stimule la réflexion et donne matière à discussion.
