Cineast

Fort de sa diversité et en constante évolution depuis sa création, le Festival CinEast (consacré aux cinémas d’Europe centrale et orientale) revient au Luxembourg pour une 12e édition ancrée dans une volonté d’abattre les murs, bousculer les frontières, mélanger les publics et bien-sûr célébrer le cinéma.
À l’image du succès de l’édition 2018 qui aura rassemblé plus de 10 000 visiteurs, sur une centaine de projections, le Festival CinEast s’est affirmé comme l’un des grands rendez-vous cinématographiques et culturels de la rentrée. Avec passion et ferveur le CinEast continue a promouvoir les cinémas et plus largement les cultures de l’Est de l’Europe. À nouveau, le Festival CinEast suit ses aspirations en mettant cette année à l’honneur la Lituanie et proposant un cycle thématique baptisé « À bas les murs ! », point fort de cette 12e édition, pour célébrer le 30e anniversaire de la chute du mur de Berlin.

Du 3 au 20 octobre 2019, le CinEast s’installera dans trois lieux principaux dans la capitale (Cinémathèque, neimënster et Ciné Utopia), mais aussi dans d’autres villes du Grand Duché (Ancien Cinéma à Vianden, Kulturfabrik, CNA et autres). Cette 12e édition proposera à son public plurinational, plus de 65 longs métrages et 50 courts métrages (pour la plupart sous-titrés en anglais) de 20 pays différents. Un véritable marathon cinématographique autour duquel une quarantaine de cinéastes se sont donnés rendez-vous.
Le CinEast c’est aussi, et comme chaque année, de nombreux événements et temps forts spécifiques, comme des projections en avant-première, des ciné-débats, des marathons de courts métrages, des programmes pour enfants, des soirées thématiques, une exposition de photographie, des événements gastronomiques ou encore 5 concerts immanquables, dont l’apéro jazz de Artur Dutkiewicz Trio à neimënster le 13 octobre.
